Buster321c 1,010
Well it`d be a good idea to as it might be a genuine thing . If you had a gun off me and it was `underpower` ide like to be the first to know , rather than the whole forum . Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Also Lewis have a look on the BSA Owners Group, a very friendly bunch, there is a special section for the Meteor, have a link on me... BSA Owners Group Meteor Section Quote Link to post
clubshot 22
No location Need to get it power cheched over a Chrono - Good Shops can do it for small charge Be care if it was powerful and went of the Sub 12FP level they are required to pass it onto Police Sounds if you got a bad deal Springers work best with a lighter pellet - around 14.00 Grains and domed Heads Also being .22 @ what range will it not break through cardboard ? secretagentmole 1,701
If I was having a laugh I would have said "A horse walks into a bar and the barman says 'Why the long face?'". I have found the folks on the BSA site to be knowledgable and helpful! Some of them seem as mad as us on here! Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
as buster said ...... contact the person you did a swap with and always have a trial where possible. and please no "helpful" advice on here please on the ins and outs of how to increase the power.......or the thread WILL go !!!! and @ davy Quote Link to post
sniperlad98 0
my dad has sent him a message but he hasnt replied yet. my dad said he would buy me a new spring because he thinks thats whats wrong. I am sorry if i have upset enyone Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I do not think you have upset anyone, we just hate to hear where a trade has gone wrong and someone has got "stuffed" as you appear to have had. A few of us older and wiser ones on here sometimes buy guns, building in the cost of repair (I did on my Super 10). But when you do a straight swap for what appears to be a broken rifle, that is bad. Did you take the gun to his place, did he come to your place, or did you meet somewhere? Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
lewis.....please dont feel you have upset anyone......you certainly havn't. the thing with spring rifles is.....they are quite simple in terms of how they work. may be worth checking the breech seal first....much easier to replace than the spring. and if you do need a spring DO NOT (imo) fit an ox spring......they are not good. it may be an advantage to convert it to gas ram rather than just fitting a new spring. if you pm donnyc on here he may be able to get you one ?? cheers sean Quote Link to post
