JoeD 24
Right I am thinking of taking part in the Kilamanjaro challenge, and I want to know names of worthwhile charities, so far I am thinking of raising it for either Help for Heroes, Dogs Trust or Cancer research UK. Ca anyone else list other charities that I can take a look at that arent their purely to line the pockets of their staff. Joe

Joe The Heroes will need more than help with conservative in power, they will put us slap bang in the center of many wars IMO. I know Mcmillan Nurses work like angels and gave my cousin so much help as she was dying of cancer, the support was unbelievable. Good luck and what ever you choose will be a worthy cause im sure. Thanks I am giving myself 10 months to train and i will give myself 8 months to raise money so in 2 months I will start collecting money and I am doing progression reports and photos etc of my training. If there are any fitness boffs on here then if they can help that would be great, but either way, I have been thinking baout it for a while now and I think if I don't do it now, when will I so, so be it! yoggerman 5
dont do it for the donkey sanctuary mate. i saw them the other day on the motorway in a 7 1/2 tonne box that must of cost 100 grand..... i think there a con.. choose your charity wisely remember that cancer one giving cherie blair 60 grand one night to do a speech, also guide dogs for the blind is a rip off, ive bin told by several blind people not to give to them, most charities pay out millions in wages and bonuses to there directors every year, and they all drive new mercs and jags..... hhmmmm maybe il become a charity director Edited March 19, 2011 by yoggerman

Joe As much as i respect Help for Heroes,Cancer Research etc as being extremely worthwhile charities....those people have usually at least had a life !....My money always has and always will go towards the youngsters who have no life or future to look forward to..... http://www.havenshospices.org.uk/little_havens_care The link above is run by the most nicest and decent people you could ever wish to meet for a great cause, life limited children. Best of luck if you do your challenge and good on you for even giving it thought
