optimus 447
THEY WERE A POPULAR CROSS AROUND HERE IN THE WEST OF SCOTLAND. GENERALY USED AS ALL ROUNDER TYPES. SOME THREW SMOOTH SOME ROUGHER COATED. MOST POPULAR GRIPE I HEARD WAS "too much hound & too many injuries" AS YOU FIND WITH MANY 3/4 BREDS.. WILL HAVE A LOOK FOR SOME PHOTOS BUT HERES TWO 3/4 WHIPPET 1/4 BEDLINGTONS JUST NOW Quote Link to post

baldockbanks courser 598
theres a leggy blue rougth coated one running on lurchermania. looked handy eneougth for what it was doing. Id say thed be about a million times better than a bedlington whippets at everything apart from catching mice. Quote Link to post

THEY WERE OFTEN FOR SALE IN PAST YEARS, MY OWN THOUGHTS ARE THAT THOSE LOOKING FOR TERRIER ATTRIBUTES TURNED MORE TO THE BULL CROSSE`S.... I OFTEN FANCIED GETTING A DECENT ROUGH COATED 3/4 1/4BEDLINGTON BITCH TO BREED WITH MY MATES VERY GOOD SALUKI/ GREY, 1/2 CROSS DOG. SADLY THAT PLAN NEVER CAME TOGETHER Quote Link to post

How tall is your pup at 9 months, very interested in that cross. If my beddy/whippet pup (8 1/2 months) makes a good rabbit dog ( but only if it is 100% worker), in a few years time the collie/whippet/greyhound type is what i would probably look at putting over my bitch. My pup is bred worker to worker and it has a great prey drive it is hunting up, working cover and marking sets but has not caught one yet. It has had a few near misses, turning a few but missing on the strike but that will come so i am not worried.I am waiting till around september till i start getting it out alot. I only hunt rabbits so something around 22" is the size i personaly like. Quote Link to post
