BSA Scorpion T10

As above really looking at picking up a 2nd hand one and wanting to know how people who have had them have gotten on with them.

 

I have had a MK1 rapid, Loved it but not the best looking gun, and an AAS410K, again nice but felt a bit like i just had the same thing as everyone else, great gun but not exactly uncommon, for a good reason granted. like i say great gun.

 

Anyway all t10 owners or ex owners give me your honest opinion.

 

And yes i have searched and read a lot, and found out a lot, before posting this,just looking for some more views and opinions.

the t10 is a good rifle but for the money i would be tempted to (pardon the punn)hunt down a hornet multi shot its basically the same rifle but regulated and you can probably pick one up cheaper than the t10 and if you like the tac stock the hornet action fits in the t10 stock with minor adjustment just my 2 cents worth

Used a Hornet before and couldn't get on with the MCC, not saying its a bad system, just saying i didnt like it, the T10 i am looking at/considering has been blue printed by John Bowkett, this means it has a regulator dosen't it?? or can he tune them but not put a regulator in it. I may be way off the mark but i always thought if a gun was blue printed that meant it was regulated, if i am wrong then someone please feel free to educate me.

 

I was worried abput the floating barrel what with its main use being hunting is it not prone to being bumped and knocked out of zero?? have to admit i do really like the look of them and that is quite a draw to the gun, rightly or wrongly.

no sorry mate if its been to john it means its been re built to his (blueprints)original design and replaced all the parts bsa scrimped and saved on in production if its been to Simon howarth aka tweaky or tench then its probably regulated oh and dont worry about the bsa's floating barrel its a very sturdy blank that they use and its fixings in the action are very secure

ok Thanks for that Garfield, its just been to John so its not regulated by the sounds of things, with a scope, bipod, 12ltr 300bar divers bottle, gun slip, metal mag from John, and a sac silencer whats it worth?

I use the BSA Scorpion not the T-10 the single shot and i love it, havn't had any problems with it although im not experienced enough to give you an in depth evaluation of it, but im glad i bought it.

sorry to jump in im new to this sport i have had a bsa scorpion t10 for 14 mths and had no problems with ,its got 3x9x50 scops on and a weihrauch silencer . is it worth having it regulated ?? help and what are the pluss for having it done. what is blueprinting when or if do i get this dont ??????

hi mate,a friend of mine who is new to hunting just brought a t10,out of the box put a twink on it,and zerode at 30 yards[22]it was spot on grouped 10 pellets in a five pence piece nothing wrong with the t10

Thanks for the replies guys, was looking at the scorpion and had made my mind up to go get it but it was a bit more than i wanted/had to spend at £470, anyway in the mean time a Daystate Huntsman Mk2 came up 177 S/S with bottle scope, more pellets than i have room for and a slip at £330, which is under what i wanted/had to spend, so i have bought that instead, i think i'll save for another couple of months and maybe trade to a multi shot tho, as 177 pellets are a bit fiddly for my liking, its a lovely gun tho.

 

Anyway thanks for your replies the BSA T10 is on my list of guns that i want to own at some point.

If you think 177. pellets are too fiddly then you should buy some jsb polymag predators...they are huge for 177's
