TESS,RE HOMED...

Recommended Posts

..2 weeks ago tess went to a family pet home and it is looking like she has settled in fine.

Just before xmas,i was mooching with her about 3 mile from where i live, just on the backs when

she had a long flush and before i could lead her up she spotted another,,,

and was off again, 15 min later she was back with me and on the lead,on the way back to the van she collapsed in the snow

Tess had some sort of seizure, ive never seen anthing like it, i thought she was gone!!

within 30 min i was at the vet with her ,were she spent the night...

when i got her home the next day she was deaf and blind, and basically just shitting and pissing her self....

to cut along story short Tess is now fully functional apart from her sense of direction and her prey drive

which has totally gone .she is bull x 3/8 5/8

she now has a family pet home just down the road ,with a fella i know that will take good care of her.

im gutted. but at lest she is still alive .

any hares in piccs were shot and retrived..

gutted for you did the vet say why it happened, but glad the dog got a new home..atb

cheers fellas,

jack ,the vet said it was caused by overexertion,so the body shuts down causing the seizure

very similar to a stroke,i had never heard of this happening to a dog.

the more i spoke to people the more i found its is quite common especially in bull bred lurchers.

willow she will be well looked after i know the people well, she will be spending alot of time on the sofa now thumbs.gif

bad news that yes i had it happen to a dog about 4 years ago a big strong dog to but it happens he retired after it but unfortunatly it still happend and got worse untill eventually it killed him ,apparently yes it was a kind of stroke due to overexertin mbut the damage was the start of the end .. good luck hopefully a long retirement for the dog!
