Shazza 52
I give puppy jabs and the first booster 12 months later, after that... nothing. My dogs get to mix with lots of other dogs and have visited rescue centres with un-vacc dogs, never had any problems what-so-ever. 10 years ago i took in a rescue pup which quickly developed Parvo, it had been in my house and played with my dogs for 9 days when it died but not one of my dogs got sick. My eldest lived to 16. There's so much evidence of auto immune diseases & cancers occuring in over-vaccinated dogs, together with evidence of long term immunity from the starter jabs that i stopped boostering 20 years ago. totally your choice as this is mine ATB Quote Link to post
theferreter 311
all my dogs only ever have two injections and i dont bother with the boosters and ive never had any problems with sick dogs but if getting your dogs there booster shot keeps your mind at rest then go for it fella Quote Link to post
BOLIO1 1,078
I've never boostered after the initial pup jabs. Quote Link to post
turbotyke 62
its £12 at my vets for a booster that was last year might have gone up a £1 or so Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
I posted a thread on this earlier in the week. I can get jabs for 22 quid at vets so wasn't gonna risk not getting them done. If you don't get them done annually then do the vets not ask why? Or if you go for treatment insist that that they have them? Gaz Quote Link to post
