ferrety f 23
i put my jill with my hob today is it true her vulva will go down if she pregnant and if not it will stay swallon yes it will and i suggest you get a good ferret breeding/ rearing book to read up fast on what else you need to know.. they will be born approx 42 days after mating. http://www.amazon.co...y/dp/190405756X If the jill has been mated the swelling will go down but as Leeview has said it doesn't mean she will be pregnant, after all if she was mated by a vasectomised hob the swelling would go down but you'd be a bit p!ssed if she was pregnant. That said there'll be a good chance that she will be pregnant. Agree fella, its the act of copulation ( getting mated ) that takes the jill out of season wether they have taken or not.. and i also agree the jill will prob be pregnant... but if she is not carrying that book will set him in good stead for next time he tries so she wont 100% be pregnant then nowts 100% mate.. you wont be able to tell till about 4 /4.5 weeks after mated when she starts to get heavy around her belly.. but even jills that are not pregnant can show phantom pregnancy signs as if they are.
