As the title says, ive purchased a quantlet today, just thought they were awsome looking birds, i dont think there renound for there gameness but a fine looking bird all the same. They were 13 weeks old and already a tidy size bird.

Your right, not really a 'game' bird but they are the biggest of the malayoids. Their profile should show 3 curves-the neck, a roach back and the tail. They should have hexagonal scales on their legs. They should have a large overhanging eyebrow to give an immpression of ferocity. Another requirement is a half walnut comb.

Thans lads, to be fair two of the hens are very nice but the cock as nice as he is has dodgy feet, im a twat for buying them really but theyll get a good life all the same.

I did manage to get a couple of contacts at the auction so ill be following them up in hope of finding a nice Asil or shamo Cockeral...

I believe there are some outstanding Malays in South Africa.

I GET A LOT OF MIXED FEELING ABOUT THEM TO BE HONEST MATE, I THINK THERE A BIT LIKE MARMITE.

These four of mine are nice enough, quite timid still, dont think they had much bonding with man, but i will persist.
