blackalice82 0
Are there any fellow mountain bike owners/riders here? For a $500 price range, what brand/model of mountain bikes should I look into? My friend recommend this 26-Inch Schwinn High Timber Mountain Bike to me,but i feel it is too cheap,i am not sure for its quailty. What do u think about it? I’ll be mostly riding trails, urban roads and some off road riding instead of walking the trails when scouring for photo locations and such when backpacking my photo gears. mad al 146
I've always used Kona or Specialised, but there are loads out there, depends what you intend doin really, trail ridin, downhill or enduro? Full suspension bikes are always going to be heavier, myself I prefer hard tails. These days I ride a Kona Explosif, a hard tail that I use for both on and off road that is probably in it's 10th year and has only ever needed tyres and brakes. It would probably be worth joinin a bike forum and see what models are "hot" right now. Al

bonnie1 13
I ride alot, got me a giant Xtc3(at mo. ride to work scheme so i was able to go up in pricce, more than i cud afford, so im really happy. Its a shame you dont have halfords where you are as pound for pound the best bikes on the road with the best equipment today are chris boardman bikes. The spec is unbelievable on them. there is a slight snobey feel against them still here..cus its a relative new comer to the market up against the big guns but if you can look past the name, and if it was my money i was spending look no futher.... can you get delivery to where you are from here? lol prob cost as much as the bike! good luck. ps, there not many bad bikes these days tbh
