What is kennel cough and what to do if you get it.

And you'll get a big vet bill for them doing basicaly nothing !! A vet I used to shoot with, and another vet I used before she retired, both told me Kennel Cough just takes time to clear up. Clean your kennels with bleach. Jeyes Fluid, disinfectant; get rid of the bedding and replace with new; keep the dog warm and draught free, and away from other dogs, and a week or two kennel rest will cure it !

Just make sure there is plenty clean, fresh water available. Obviously if it gets more serious than a cough, you need to see a vet; but usualy it will clear up in a week or two, just keep an eye on the dog for more serious symptoms, runny eyes, shivering, hight temp, etc. But for just a cough, don't worry to much... rest and cleanliness should do the trick. Hope it gets well soon.

watch any weak or old dogs I lost my old bitch when it developed into phnominia she was 10, my younger dogs shock it off no probs. I thought she wae getting old and staying in her kennel away from the cold and I noticed her to late and she died.

i had it few years ago mate i gave mine tea spoon of honey a tea spoon of glycerine and tea spoon of milk mixed togeather twice aday for 2week mate done the trick for me

lad on here told me to give honey/lemon from the chemist and a add a drop tcp to it

Nothing will cure kennel cough but a little H/L/G will help ease the racking cough, 5ml teaspoon twice a day will help
