ALAN TOLD ME JODIE WAS BASICALLY BRED FROM HALF CROSSES. WHEN YOU MIX SALUKI(even half crosses) SOME RETAIN THE ORIGINAL SMOOTH COAT, SOME THE SALUKI FEATHERING & THE PERCENTAGE OF SALUKI TO GREYHOUND BECOMES MIXED. BLACKARSE IS DANCERS FATHER & HER BREEDING REMAINS BASICALLY THE SAME. DANCER HAD PACE & STAMINA, BUT IN MATING TO NIPPER TO PRODUCE BLONDIE & A SALUKI TO BREED CLASS I WOULD SAY WHETHER ALAN WANTED MORE STAMINA ANSWERS ITSELF. DANCER TO MY MIND WAS A TOP DOG & BRED TOP DOG`S ALSO,,

Just before he bred Blondie Alan told me he was going to use Nipper because he'd seen him run 5 different hares off the one slip and he never looked like jacking. Seen Dancer winning the Temple Bruer, with 4 out of 5 just after a 5 week lay off due to injury and the double handed and Forley cup on consecutive weekends. All this with a severed tendon in a foot, which she suffered at 6 months. She was a bitch that had class written all over her.

Seen Blondie run in 3 Forley cups and some none competition days and I don't remember seeing a better dog around cover. Blondie was one of those bitches that was totally convinced she could catch any hare no matter how long the slip and no matter where it ran to. Seen her crash into thick cover and continue the hunt unseen until the hare broke back out and kill it in the open right in front of us.

This bitch stands out for me of all the memories I have from when we used to live in a free country.

Terrific post. I saw Blondie win the Millenium ,and though I was rooting for my mate Gary's Red ,you couldn't take anything away from Blondie , as Gary said ,she deserved it.

that just shows that AS new his dogs.and could see the the potencial in using nipper over dancer .a good dog man without a doubt and all the time hes trying to improve the next generation...what would alot of us be running if it wasnt for AS and CN ...the both of them put some serious work into there animals.which made it far easier for the lads nowadays .because of there knowledge of dogs .....

I would never dispute any of the two named men new there stuff but there was and is alot of breeding about that doesn't associate with there breeding what is still doing the job today,I have used Cns stuff in the past but its been diluted with other old breeding
