Wolf reintroduction

Recommended Posts

We seem to be going back in time these days, into the "dark ages"!!!! This thing about them sorting out the Red Deer, it's just not true.

Think about it, for the last few years they, the government, have been on a mission to get us Brits to get back more in touch with nature, more outdoor pursuits, rambling, trekking, forest trails? :icon_eek: Hold on, all these immigrants with more rights than we are ever likely to have, ever see any of them out there?????

For ages we've heard about the over population, this has been a long time in its making, get us into the wild, get the Poles etc into our homes and work, let the Wolves out...............SORTED!!!...................Al

i reckon what a load of old bollocks letting wolves into the highlands, were only a small island as it is let alone the size of the highlands and wolves roam and look at the size of Yellowstone national park its about as big as the half of Scotland!,and they still exit the park.

just thinking there what sort dog you would get if we crossed lurcher with wolf,or even bull x wolf what awesome beast we would have, al have one, it would be a killing machine then again the wolf is almost the perfect hunting dog, dont think there would be much danger of some p***y trying to steel it from your back garden the f****r would eat them.

Yellowstone national park is not big enough to sustain a viable genetic breeding pool!!

if i was a wolf i would chase the fat fluffy dinner that can't get out of the field than a big fit athletic red deer that regularly runs 20 odd mils for food!!

and unfortunately any wild dog species would be crap as a hunting dog for our purposes as they won't move in on healthy animals as they have an inbuilt instinct to prevent themselves getting hurt...unlike dogs they don't realise that if they get hurt we'll feed them anyway...in the wild if they get hurt bad they die....so they don't take the risk!!

This story made the papers over here this week, albeit a small article. I wouldn't fancy those wolves being let loose over here being a sheep farmer. I can imagine the guys in the Highlands thinking they'd done a good job on culling foxes before lambing time then take a peep out the window and see a bloody great wolf eating a sheep or three, nevermind a lamb. Some university over there did a study saying farm animal predations didn't matter anyway as farms in the area weren't viable anyhow being propped up by subsidies :censored: If I'd any animals killed by those wolves first thing I'd do, before stocking up on ammo, would be take what's left of the animal and dump it's unfortunate carcass on that so called centre of educations main doorstep!

Along with the bill

Problems with red deer my backside, why not let the hunters take care of that then?
