Dog Training Area Wakefield & Castleford West Yorkshire

I have recently moved into the area and more recently taken on my first puppy for several years.

 

I have been training gundogs (retrievers) for over twenty years and have since moving to the area been using parks, lanes, and waste or common ground to keep the training up on my current dogs. However with the new puppy I have now realised that I have some areas missing on which to bring on and develop a new pup.

 

I would like ground that has access to hedgerows, fences, walls, woodland, streams and or a pond and ideally the ground would or be able to hold some game (rabbit and pheasants).

 

I would also like to be able to use a dummy launcher and starting pistol if possible.

 

Dog training is a serious hobby and not my occupation so I will only be training my dogs and I would usually be alone of accompanied by one of my children to throw dummies and the like.

 

I will respect any agreement that is established and can provide references if required.

 

Dependant on the access and the ground I would be willing to pay a reasonable rent for this permission or in return I would be willing to help with pest control, dog training.

 

I hold both a shotgun and open firearms certificate.
