benny01 1
Hi everyone, well we,ve just realized one of our german wirehairs is in pup to my whippet , she,ll be about 4 to 5 weeks.. both are excellent in thier field. Now i do know that people have crossed gwp to greyhounds and have had good results but has anyone come across a whippet cross. Quote Link to post

benny01 1
my thoughts too, some say they're to specialized in their own to be of any good as a cross..had many a beddy x whippet and have never known anyone to have owned and worked a pure beddlington terrier.. Quote Link to post
fox digger 1,086
could be a barrel of laughs when they come of age to hunt mate, flat out chasin a bunny and then it stops dead and setts a pheasent in the ditch!!! only jokin, ive heard of a whippet red setter cross working out pretty well, atb Quote Link to post
spec 45
like fox digger I've come across a whippet setter (think it was 3/4 1/4 though) that turned out alright, and have also heard of (but not seen) the GWP grey cross. Have to wait and see which way the pups go I spose, as long as you don't end up with running dogs that point they should be alright- may have better noses on them from the GWP side Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
If you took the raciest pup i can imagine it doing the job of being a decent enough mooching dog. Quote Link to post
