deadlyshot 25
I will only have bitches now,i find them more loyal ALTHOUGH it is hard to get a goodun compared to a dog, thats my views. See i have a bitch lakeland x patt but but i do like the dog coz they look nice and stong Hard looking if you know what i meant not that i want to walk down the street with it thinking im well hard like (most staff owners) but i think that they look nice but do they perform any better than bitches Quote Link to post
lee8375dogs 9
bitch every time mate more loyal and easier to control Quote Link to post
.terrier man. 193
Not really botherd you get crazy dogs and bitches 1 Quote Link to post
CarraghsGem 92
doesnt make much difference either way. bitches are softer with their owner but good ones are hard found, takes more work to earn a dogs loyalty. its all down to personal preference Quote Link to post
hack 301
rather have dog lot easier to get going and stronger Quote Link to post
mark2007 32
must agree with posts above does not male difference ..each to their own females are more loyal but dogs are easier to bring on and keen and alot stronger ... also depends on what you are doing with the dogs as well Quote Link to post
Rik 49
Ive got a dog and a bitch both Patterdales the dog is a good strong dog and he's really loyal he follows me about like he's my shadow The bitch works really well she's a lot quicker than the dog and she has a bit more sence, but she's a little cow bag seems to be a go it alone type, not as loyal to me as the dog you could say there are good points and bad points with both its a pain when the bitch breaks down I cant do a thing with the dog for 2wks but between the two of them they make a good team,so to me dog or bitch as long as the do the job it dont matter Quote Link to post
jonesy 111
Dogs all the way for me,not for any other reason than keeping both is a pain in the arse when a bitch is in season.I have seen both dogs and bitches work to a high standard. Quote Link to post
fensaluki 35
I do and will own and work both dogs and bitches but if I had to choose to keep one or the other the it would be dogs every time for me. I personly find them less deceitfull and beleive it or not in my kennles if it "kicks off" I can nearly always be sure its two bitches at it. I find that you know were you are a little more with a dog than a bitch even though they can be a little harder to keep on top of but having said all of this I have to admit that of all the good working dogs I know probably more than half are bitches. atb Quote Link to post
king squirrel 53
i think you have got more chance of a dog making the grade but only ever had one good bitch that i can 100% trust and she still going strong at nearly 8.my mate got a good bitch that you can trust but for the record i think you hear an see a lot of decent dogs but good 100% bitches are like rocking horse sh*t and yes had and worked terriers a good old while now atb biza Quote Link to post
long dogs 580
i prefere dogs myself no worrys about coming in season seem to be bigger stronger were bitches are very loyal but each to there own Quote Link to post
fat man 4,741
I would personally prefer bitch's to dogs.I think they mature earlier and dont tend to be as head strong as dogs. They also normally a handier size, but as a few have said hard to get a real good one. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
With lurchers i have had both dogs and bitches but i have only ever owned terrier bitches, never owned a dog............ Quote Link to post
