Irish Lurcher 1,013
Was out with pups last week for a quick run. Both dogs are starting to show good progress, they are both under 12 months, and the brindle bitch retrieves live to hand. The night in question was ment to be a run around for the dogs, but as there were plenty of bunnies around we had a quick slip. Reynard hunter bitch(fawn one) was straight onto a squatter, with the buzz of the chase my bitch slipped her collar and decided to take part in the chase, not good. The rabbit was in full flight when Sash took the bunny from the jaws of Paris(fawn bitch), Paris was in the process of picking up the rabbit when Sash do a sneaky one and got there first, rabbit was retrieved to hand by doth dogs. Sash then copped a hare and was onto it, five turns in total and about three inches away from the hare, good course. We decided no more slips for the night We were both delighted that the bitches showed this improvement in their training, we plan to take them out again tonight for a quick run. Quote Link to post
