secretagentmole 1,701
As far as I can make out this version of the rifle makes 7.5 joules, is there any way to raise it to the 16 joule maximum? The wife bought this for target shooting, but might want to take it into the field for a few pigeons. Be nice to know if there was anyway we could get someone to take the power up to the legal limit. pianoman 3,587
Moley...there isn't an Air Arms T200 . You mean TX200? It's simple. You take it to a reputable, knowledgeable chap called a gunsmith and he'll respring it to where it needs to be for a bit of cash! Or do you mean an S200?? -Which is a PCP and again, a decent gunsmith should be able to sort out for you. Edited March 13, 2011 by pianoman Quote Link to post
johnboy19 38
Im guessing you meen the S200T? Think this gun was made with 10 meter target shooting in mind hence lower power. I think I can vaguely recall reading about people getting theirs upped to 12 ft/lbs. Should probably get it chrono'd just incase it has been already. As pianoman says, a gunsmith should be able to do this for you, either that or send it back to Air Arms and they will do it. Email Air Arms and ask them the question, ive always had a very fast response when I have emailed them Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
It is the CZ T 200 bearing the Air Arms logo (I think T is for Target and S is for Sport)! Review Centre Edited to say it is not just me!!! Air Arms Owners Club T200 Edited to say damned fool should have done a search on the Air Arms Owners Club! The T200 is a 16 joules, it says on the action of the gun! It is full powered, just got to get it serviced now! Edited March 13, 2011 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Many thanks, had 3 pms on how to get this baby to 11.5 foot pounds. Spoke to Air Arms today about the leaky gauge, they also told me that the T200 was merely restricted on the gun to 7.5 joules for short range target shooting. They also said it could be raised by a gunsmith to the legal limit! I just asked them if it was possible but not how to do it, so they were more than happy to confirm that it was restricted on the gun. They were very happy to learn Mrs M has two of their weapons! So when it goes of for it's service I will inform my gunsmith we want the power raised and supply him with the info so it can be done, chronoed, certified and we can be happy we are legal! Many thanks once again! Quote Link to post
