conor 7
few ey Ill say ye have the whole of Basil brushes family and relitives far from it! got six more within a week after that nite, and there are still foxes coming into the garden beside my house plenty about yet! cheers baldie will do. not many around here would be happy with lads running dogs without premission as most are sheep farmers, said dogs could end up on the wrong side of a few balls of lead! Staghound 0
Whats not sporting about shooting foxs? i dont see the difference between the 2. i shoot and dog alot of foxs each year. last year i shot 22 foxs of one 400 acre property in 2 trips 2 weeks apart, 12 the first trip just with a 22lr.i then went on to dog and shoot another 20 foxs of it by the end of the year. both ways are equaly as challenging and fun. this last week i doged 4 foxs with my 12mo pup im starting and went out saturday night and split 6 fox heads open with my new T3 super varmint in .243. just kill the fuckers any way you can. there big healthy foxs you got there conor well done Quote Link to post
rifleshooter 0
Keep up the good work Conor , like yourself i use a rifle for FOX CONTROL and i am sure sheep farmers would prefer foxs are kept under control using efective meathods ,i am not saying that using dogs is not an efective way of controling foxs but some areas we shoot only a fool would run a dog ,and if i were a sheep farmer i am sure i would prefer a rifle shooter with a moderated rifle on my land rather than have dogs running around disturbing stock , after all each to is own and sports men, women shouldnt condem each others sport ,from what i have seen and experienced shooters respect the dog lads and lasses so they should do the same instead of slaging off those that controle foxs in a efective way , personaly i think the green eyed monster raises its ugly head to often again keep up the good work Conor Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
Well done conor i dig alot of foxes but this time of year iam shooting alot more as i don t want my dogs spooking any stock even though they are broke to stock. i have had some good pest control nights i remember one night a few years ago me and the girl went out with the 243 and 40 rounds about 10pm and we were back home at 1am ran out of ammo id made every shot count and we had 21 foxes and a lot of big ferrets but thats another story . this wasnt sport it was pest control and i make no excuses for it Quote Link to post
