The seasons end

Now the season is over was just wondering what people do with there dogs over the summer months.

I like get the dogs out doing lot swimming bringing them fishing and stuff.

Also getting the dogs ready for the shows a bit racing and that catching up with people and finding out how there season went and what there running and if they have thing new for the coming year. :thumbs:

well i,m still going as the farms i run still takeing care of,so my 14 month pup will still be ticking over ,but my 2 older dogs are resting and just raceing at shows and might be out on a few digs and land owners request ,but most my time is takeing up by my raceing pigeons in the summer :thumbs:

I still take mine out for the odd run at bigger stuff getting him ready for the show season on the bike. The staff has just came in season so shes laid off for a few weeks. Then it will be back at the reds till we here news of cubd round by us. Just waiting for the shows. N stuff. Still gotta keep em fit no matter what. Not into running pregnant game though. Ruining next years sport. No need imo unless its pest controll crack.

for once I'm really looking forward to this spring/summer :victory:

 

planning to get back into camping with daughter and dogs again! :tongue2: and want to go hiking round irish mountains with the lurchers, going sea fishing and even more camping!! helping my uncle with this years calves, bringing dogs to coast and generally keeping them fit and busy,, will go to some coutry shows and perhaps a spot at racing, nice to catch up with people,, summer is also about this years kits, myself and my daughter get well stuck in to it, before we know it the extra kits are re homed and its time to get ready for season :thumbsbring it on!!!

Catching up with everyone at the shows, getting a nice tan, long country walks usually comeing across a river or lake, occasional bike strolls, the dogs are never running fit in the summer and imo a dog is never fit until it has started work again anyway :thumbs: Time to let things breed and enjoy the sun if we get any :laugh:

still have to take the bullx out,,or he drives me nuts if he carnt pull me about on push bike,oh nd he has just started swimming,,dont know why but he will retreve from water now,:thumbs:so thats a bonus as he can burn energy off swimming in summer :D

Get the dogs up the beach in the evenings and go for a swim, gonna get the rods back out, haven't been for almost two years, go with friends to a few shows and borrow my dads trailer tent and have a few weekends away somewhere quiet, also going to redecorate the house, which is nice :icon_eek:

fishing, fishing, fishing, fishing, did i mention fishing? in fact my local lake seems to be full of bigger game in the,surrounding woods this year, first for a few years, found three groups of roe last night while just putting some bait in, so gonna have to keep the bullx chained up while im there for a while :whistling:
