3 Turns 326
ALRIGHT MATE . USEDIT FOR YRS DONT GO MAD WITH IT. MY ADVICE 3 CUPS PER DAY MIXED WITH VEG /MEAT./ TOASTED BROWN BREAD/ FISH. YOU CAN DEFINETLY DO DAMAGE OVERDOSING ON HIGH OCTANE FUEL.GOOD FOR GREWS THAT ARE GETTING 700MTRS ONCE A WEEK.. NO GOOD BIG MEASURES FOR LURCHERS UNLESS WORKED HARD. BEEN THERE DONE IT. DOGLL BLOW AFTER 3 CHASES ON BIG LUGS. Quote Link to post
tote 854
Anyone on here use redmills racing food? and how do they find their dogs do on it ?? Tried the dogs on it years ago and wasn't impressed with the results, found their stools to be loose and a kinda greenish colour not unlike cowpats. There are plenty better options out there, Chudleys, Beta and Gain to name three. Quote Link to post

fallow buck 18
raw is certainly the best but when i do put mine on dry,, usually through the summer its orijen everytime, its pricy but the dog needs less of it, its brilliant quality ingregiants, let the dog munch on raw bone to clean teeth or top up with meat and your done, orijen contains 70% meat 30%fruit and veg, bloody dog is fed better then me!! i did use red mills for about 8 months, found the dogs coat became dry and as already mentioned their waste seems rather loose Quote Link to post

Ive used them all over the years,us lads have all changed to gain, dogs look well on it with meat and its £10 a bag cant go wrong, redmills is £12 so not much in it price wise, must admit i never had a problem with loose shit when the dogs were on it,i buy 10 bags of meal at a time so i get right money so it wasnt as if i just used one bag of redmills and condemd it,its decent meal but GAIN suits me. each to their own. Good Man 196
I use Red Mills racer most of the time and find it good. Along with rabbits and beef hearts ect once a week. They have changed the formula, its far better now, as i did use it years ago but it was not good then. Quote Link to post
rocky1 942
IT YOU WORK YOUR DOGS BETWEEN 4/7 NITES A WEEK THEN YES ,BUT IF ONLY BETWEEN 1/4 NITES YOU NEED SOMTHING WITH MUCH LESS PROTEIN ,LIKE A COMPLETE WORKING FOOD ,AND SOMTHING WITH LESS 30% PROTEIN ,SOMTHING BETWEEN 20/23 % WILL DO,I USE SNEDYS WONDERDOG WORKING COMPLETE £10 A BAG 15KG Quote Link to post
lamping lurchers 34
im currently using chicken and rice from an animal feed whole sales in hetton le hole only £6.50 for 15 kilos and its 24% protein mixed with barf everyother day Quote Link to post
fresh earth 47
I use red mills on all my dogs i mix half a cup with half a lb of mince for each of my bitchs and i feed my dog 3/4 a cup with the same and have never had a problem also raced high class greyhounds and made a serious arse of alot of bookies with dogs on the same feed a cup of red mills and a lb of mince. I also feed a hole oily fish to each dog every 2 or 3 days depending what i have in and an egg on the mornings they dont get a fish. My dogs are always in good nick and walk 3 miles per day minimum and see at least 2 days a week with the ferrets and 2 days with the lamp usualy out most nites. Agree little need for this type of meal unless your dog realy runs i get mine for £13 a bag so worth the 3 bux extra . kris Quote Link to post
