gunterwarren 0
I dont think its fair to be having a pop at the fella. His jill isnt yet pregnant so i reckon hese doing things the right way round. Yes he could go and buy a book but there is a lot of very knowledgable people on here, why shouldnt he ask them? Yes a book is a good idea and i also would advise him to get one but i also say that he will get a lot of advice a lot quicker on an internet forum (and this is the hunting life forum), ordering a book can take a week or more for it to turn up and if the jills in season now it needs a session asap in order to avoid the possible illnesses they can pick up if left in season for to long. A ferrets pregnancy is about 42 days. You dont wean them, they wean themselves. At around 3 weeks old they will start to leave the nest and stumble upon the rabbit carcass you put there for food. They will have a sniff then a chew etc etc. They will still suckle milk from the jill for another 3 weeks but after that they should be fully weaned and ready to leave home. Any more questions your welcome to pm me. Thank you, much appreciated Quote Link to post
