wabbit slayer 16
Hi I have three hutches all with litter trays in the corner, all my ferrets bar one use them. And that little sh*it likes to crap in the corner and pee it they tray. In fact last week some one handed me a ferret that they had found running around where they work,( great just what I needed a hob and my hobs hate him ) and he used the try from the start As for litter, I use that wood plup stuff and it seems fine more my lot. Wardyuk 0
Yes, i use one in my hutch (tray with cat litter in), i had two out the same litter, they shat in the same place (the litter tray), then when i got a new one, that shats up stairs. Easy for cleaning Quote Link to post
joe14 98
Yeh my ferrets all use em. I use woodbased litter. Its the clumping/clay litters you should stay away from incase they eat ir or it gets "places". Edited March 12, 2011 by joe14 Quote Link to post
andyp 9
We use in them in all three of our hutches, it took a day or two for them to get used to them, but now they use them all the time, it's a lot easier to keep them clean , we use less than one 8ltr bag of cat litter a month, and we make sure we do not use the clumping (fullers earth)kind as it makes a right mess of the hutch and their feet if it gets wet. Rory4 267
i got 2 in my 2 tier hutch 1 in each far end from bed, they all use it but did have blocked it in with wood so ferrets dont turn it over, i can easily pull it out scrape into bag fill up and squeeze back in Quote Link to post
Ferret mad Dave 65
Errrr so what litter do I buy Quote Link to post
joe14 98
woodbased or paperbased litter. I use beauticat woodbased litter, 30litre for £10. But you can get smaller bags of woodbased from supermarkets too or wilkos. Edited March 12, 2011 by joe14 Quote Link to post
vicki.sherburn 0
I have one ferret who takes great delight in peering into the litter tray, then deciding not to use it. She takes great delight in pooping right next to it and shimmies whilst she does it, almost as if she's proud not to use the excellent toilet facilities I provide! Quote Link to post
loveferreting 2
i tried it, but they just shat in every other corner and played in the litter tray mine done the same mate Quote Link to post
