not bothered , they both serve a purpose , and do it well

One like this one, my one lol.

The big headed bit don't make one bit of difference, as my old mate used to say, big heads don't catch foxes, long legs do..!   Though so far, looks like I'm the only one who would go for the strong

Thats a lovely lurcher Ruby Jet, a credit to you, tip top condition, as you say, not all first crosses are heavy, most are fair enough, but not all of them. Had both sorts, but as has been stated, depends what your after, although nowadays, i'd go for the more athletic type, better suited to "multi tasking", jmho.

B

never a had a heavy bull x dont see the need if u can get a strong racey one

I have a racey one that I plan to work after the summer. When I picked her up the kids liked the most heavy set one in the litter so I picked him up at the same time half knowing he might end up just being a pet. He isn't much slower than my others so might turn out decent yet although I have a feeling he is a bit too soft but won't know until I slip him for the first time.

I know alot of people on this forum do and dont like bull x's so I was just wondering the ones who do like the bull x's which ones do you prefer the racey type or the big headed heavy type? As they both do the job very well! Or are you not bothered either way?

Though so far, looks like I'm the only one who would go for the stronger type, half cross prefered. Must be of the right type though and all in proporton, bred from the right stuff, these types will be racey enough 'match fit', you only have to look to the genuine game dogs to see how they cut up.

I don't want a film star, just an honest dog!

Oh and lets not forget, without the halfs, the racy types wouldn't exsist.

i do agree on the legs mate but do you think bigger head = bigger jaw = better grip??? genuine question

on this thread

id have a well bred half cross any day ive seen and own dogs bred this way plenty fast enough for daytime rabbits lol  the bull terrier is one of the most athletic dogs ever some of the things they can do is truly unbelievable and adding greyhound to that mix is only helping on that front  my bitch is over half bull grey and is probably the best allrounder ive ever had  best dogs in the world imo
