abley 0
Just wondered if anyone on here cuts their own firewood and how long they season it for. I've looked on google and had very varying answers. Ive split a decent sized heap of logs, predominantly oak, and was wondering how long before I should consider burning it. Its stacked under cover and split to the size I burn on our logburner. Thanks for looking

STUNTMAN 552
Abley- The best firewood is of coarse hardwood which you have but it should also have good moisture content. By that I mean if you let it dry to long its overall burn wouldn’t put the BTU’s out and be very fast. I like to cut /split in the late winter/spring stack and cover. Let the air blow through and it can be burned in the fall.
