true countryman 0
I agree. For a show run as part of a game fair, this has to be one of the best. The Gilford club know how to put on a good event. I think they also do the luchers and terriers for the Ballinlough show.

IrishNationalCountryFairs 1
With just a little over 2 weeks to go to the show, we are still receiving some enquiries about the Lurcher & Terrier events. Although the fair itself is running over two days (28 & 29 May), the Lurcher & Terrier events will be staged as follows: SATURDAY 28th MAY ALL Lurcher, Terrier & Whippet Events run by the Gilford Lurcher & Terrier Club RACING - starts at 10.30am SHOWING - starts at 14.00pm Competitors do not have to enter the actual fair to compete and entries can be taken on the day. As always, Car Parking is Ringside for all the Terrier and Lurcher events at Moira and the show and racing rings are only 70 metres from the centre of the fair site. In addition to a great selection of prizes for the top performing dogs, the three Best in Show dogs and the three Reserve Best in Show dogs in the terrier, lurcher and whippet sections will be invited to take part in the All-Ireland Working Dog final to be held at the Ballinlough Castle Country Fair on 16 & 17 July in Co. Westmeath. There the top dogs from that event will be judged against the winners from the National Countrysports Fair. Categories and more details at: http://www.gamefairireland.com/lurchers.html Entry to Main Fair Site at Moira - Adults £10 per person - Accompanied Children Under 15 - ADMITTED FREE Children are well catered for at the show too.
