jetro 5,349
its crazy that in this day and age a man or woman cant keep their dogs in their yards. why dosent the law do something. a friend called me over a week ago to tell that he had to pack in his dogs because he was to be robbed by rotten scum bags. he got a tip off from a person he hardlys knows. when he asked him to prove what he had said. this fella could tell him what he had in his yard. his dogs are now 100s of miles and over seas from him. he is devasted and heart broken. a life time of work and breeding gone. anybody caught robbing dogs should be shot. mangy1983 51
My mates got a siren wired up to his security light motion detector in his yard that he switches on when he goes to bed, think its an old fire alarm siren,I supose you could wire something up to ring a bell at the side of your bed when someone comes in your yard.Just an idea that may help to protect your dogs and if it rings in your house it wont alert the thieving scum in your yard..... Believe it or not a bag of peats were stolen from my peat stack last month which really grinds with me as l absolutely loath cutting them. A simple and very cheap solution that can cost as little as £5 is buy yourself a web camera, download a nice free software called I-Spy, download link here and install it on your comp. Place your web cam facing out the window facing in the direction you would like to keep an eye on and leave it running. The software activates an alarm an takes pictures when any motion is detected. So far it has worked very well and it has plenty of settings to play with if any configuring is required. hope this might help any members out there in a similar dilemma. cheers Callum Edited March 17, 2011 by mangy1983
