Charging and Testing Divers Cylinders

Recommended Posts

I think we could start a thread for all of us with inflatable guns! Those that have a diving cylinder can find it a pain in the proverbial rear end trying to get somewhere to test the cylinder and get refills.

I have found this guy on the Norfolk/Cambs/Lincolnshire border area, quoted me £25 + VAT for a cylinder and valve test, subsequent refills will cost £3! He will also test cylinders whilst you wait! Be useful for people in other areas to put up who they use, so we can sort of build a filling network!

Why clutter the forum up? One strand much clearer! Do not worry I am not taking it to heart but we owe it to the great guys who run this site to keep it clear!

Edited to say that Si's post is about buying a cylinder, mine is about maintenance and charging! So there, na na na na na!!!! :boogie:

True Mole buddy

You crack on pal.

My post will soon disappear and be lost. It will also loose its impact once the free postage deal is stopped.

Hopefully this one will help regulars long into the month / year bud  .

Thanks Si, I think it could be useful for newbie PCP owners, people looking for servicing who bought a cylinder mail order, and thos ethat just want a refill. If we can get the crowd behind us to post up who they use, costs and location (and websites), we could build up a gun friendly tank servicing network!

Here you go then Mole buddy.

This is where I get my cylinder refilled

It’s in Nottingham (East Midlands).

Tel 0115 9290707

Ive just spoken to them on the phone and here are the details:

A 300 bar refill in either 3, 7 or 12 litres cost £4.

It takes 4 minutes and you can wait while they fill your cylinder.

If you need a 300 bar test they will do you a hydrostatic test and fill for £35.

Im not sure if a 232 bar test would cost less, you would need to phone and ask.

Its a little bit more expensive than the place you found buddy by £1 but for me only a few miles from my new home so ideal.
