collie/grey 238
Ok people, in general i have no clue about vehicles at the moment i have a peugeot 306 and i love him to bits but he's just too small, although extremely cheap to run!! I get about 70-100 miles to £10 on a good day although i can be heavy footed. I have looked into mitsubishi warriors l200, but they seem pricey and like they're juice. I need something that the dogs can fit in comfortably and also fit in several people at the same time, needs to be easy to drive and be relatively cheap to run as i can only have one vehicle for all my needs, so that's travelling to and fro work, taking the dogs out and just generally being a taxi sometimes. Any ideas on what would suit my needs??
killa-combo 142
Well not a l200 you wont get 7 people in there no foot space in back either. Id say a 2.0td vitara or a people carrier for 7 people Or even an estate with seats on the boot. If all fails you need a mini buss haha

SPOTTY BACKED BIG RACK 90
You wont get a 4x4 jeep which is cheap to run with the price of fuel in this country Sounds like you may be better off getting an estate car
collie/grey 238
I don't need to get 7 people in the vehicle, several as in 3-4 people tops! But most of the time it's 2 people plus dogs and camping gear usually. I have been toying with the idea of an estate car but they just don't appeal to me, i don't mind paying for fuel but i don't want to be constantly at the pump so to speak! Thanks so far
Hob&Jill 258
Unless you actually need to go off road regulally then theres no point in a 4x4. I know estates have a bit of a OAP stigma but they are perfect for dogs and practical for everything. Most good on fuel etc too. Not big and cumbersome to drive like a 4x4 either. Malt 379
I've got a Zafira. Perfect family car, the two back seats fold into the floor in the boot, and I can fit a big cage in there for the dogs when we haven't got my eldest daughter with us. Try to go for a diesel though, mines 2.2 petrol...

Lab 10,979
Problem with an estate car is when the dogs are filthy and stinking it stays in your car the smell and you can't get it out.... You might not smell it but everybodyelse will. So if you have some cash spare then I'd try and get something where the dogs are seperate. I'd go for a jeep, if you decide to go off road then you can, you can tow a heavy trailer if need be and with crew cabs you can get people in the back. That's the reason the country is filling up with them at the minute........;-)
