FERRET FOAMING AT THE MOUTH

TOOK MY FERRET OUT TODAY TO SHOW MY NEW PUP FOR THE 1ST TIME

 

MY JILL APPEARED AFTER BOLTING THE 2ND RABBIT FROM THE 1ST BURY AND SHE WAS FOAMING AT THE MOUTH??

 

SHE SEEMS FINE, THERE WAS NO BLOOD JUST SALIVER

 

ANYONE COME ACROSS THIS BEFORE?? OR KNOWS WHAT THIS IS??

Any chance there was a toad in the hole ?.Wild polecats will eat frogs but toads give off a nasty chemical that can cause foaming . On the other hand ,she might just have had a chunk of rabbit fur stuck in her mouth .

Obviously if it continues serious help or investigation is on the cards .

Cheers lads

 

Def no badger, def just a rabbit bury.

 

Last thing she had ate was liver / james welbeloved dry food.

 

Def no poisons

 

After bolting two rabbits (1 was a milky doe) She went back in for 10mins so thinking there was prob a nest in there?

 

Shes from last years breeding so not old

 

Could be something else down there but we shall never know???

 

She seems ok so i will just keep a close eye on her.
