chartpolski 25,276
Was out for a wander with the dogs this morning, and the crocus and daffs are all coming out and the birds are pairing up, even though we've had two days of frost !! So spring is here ! This working season has been cut short a bit by the heavy snows we had, and I was getting rabbits carrying young in January, and lets face it, we're seeing leverets virtualy all year round ! We seem to be getting less and less time to work our dogs; so what is the answer ? Start earlier ? Finish later ? Or just accept shorter working seasons ? Fishing starts on Saturday, so I'll have pleanty to do, and I usualy take the dogs with me, what's other peoples oppinions ? Cheers. Quote Link to post

No spawn in my pond yet, but the frogs are getting active; shouldn't be long now. The trees and hedges are in bud now around here, and the bluetits are in and out of the nest boxes, so I reckon it's spring ! Cheers. Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Its been all over the shop for the last few years and this year is particularly bad. There were catkins and buds on the trees in december. Half the squirrals didn't hybinate. Stuff started to pair up and mate really early and by mid-end of feb it was spring here. Now we got daffs, new nettles, baby bunnies, song birds, and in an hour walk yesterday i saw 15 rabbits sat out feeding in the warm eve. Spring is here folks, and it sucks, but at least there is fishing, and mink and squirrel hunting you can do with a clear consciouss Quote Link to post
