darren watson 14 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Share Posted March 7, 2011 (edited) as soon as i woke up today i wanted to get out shooting, 1. to practice ranges further than my zero, 2. have a look for some rabbits. and 3. test out my new hip flask full of rum. I made the sacrifice to help our lass to the hospital cos of her "bad" back only for her to decide its "too nice" to sit in a hospital all day. ran into two of her mates in town, one with a new baby, as a result of which i'd gone from wanting to get out with the rifle on such a beautiful day to listening to the missus and her two mates prattling on and cooing about babies as i stared into space like a spare part. as the day slipped away, so did I, with the intention of just checking for the rabbits around dusk time. 40 minute bus ride back to my house to get ready only to realise that my house keys are at the girlfriends house. so that was the end of that, with the only kills of the day being of my precious shooting hours. In the last few weeks I've managed to break my best scope then today when zero testing before hunting, I found that I've just bought a duff batch of Dynamics that are utterly useless past 20 yards Pianoman's doing a report of todays, erm... adventure. rossy08 33 Posted March 8, 2011 Report Share Posted March 8, 2011 well if it makes you feel any better i spent all yesterday behind the bar. and today i'm stuck in the bloody shop tomorrow ill be in the shop and then behind the bar... it HAD BETTER be this nice on thursday when i do get out.....but chances are in this country it will be wind and sodding rain...
