Rifleman88 28
atn Spartan 410 with ir illuminator for under £700 or ATN TRIDENT PRO 6X 2IA 6x gen 2+ for £1950? Obviously a big difference in money but will the difference be worth £1250? This is my first NV scope so any advice will be taken on board, budgets £2000. Cheers lads, Nathan. If you are going to pay £1950 for gen 2 you might as well pay £2350 for gen 3 and have the best the jump between gen 1 to gen2 is very good and if you are putting it on a rifle that can shoot past the 100 yards mark it will need to be gen2 or gen3. Most gen1 image intensifier tube are like a light bulb which can break quite easily but gen 2 & 3 have a resin around the image intensifier tube which make them much more robust. Also if you but a gen3 unit you will get most of your money back, same if you buy a good second hand gen2 , if you buy new the £1950 you pay out will only return £850 to £1000 back. Yes i have a gen3 unit in the sale section and still use another gen3 for personal use.

I can't complain at all about my Trident Pro, just make sure you but the IR laser too. Gen 1 leave to air rifle bunny bashers, Gen 2+ a must for foxing and if you can afford Gen 3 then brilliant. Buying new or secondhand is your choice, just remember there is no warranty with secondhand.
Rifleman88 28
Thanks for the replies lads, I'm probably going to go for the atn trident with the ir laser, dave your set up on your howa is what I'm going for. Do you zero your NV for the same distance as your daylight, around 100 meters? Cheers.
