we all know that we are best to stick to tried and tested lines/breeds but every now and then a dog will turn up thats probably better than most well bred dogs i love these dogs as most are not even bred for work but do it and do it well!!!! dogs like sheba the chihuahua/border wonder how many of you know of her??? or dogs like your mums sisters ex husbands next door neighbours whippety type thing that you took out as kid that was like a hoover on rabbits!! or the terrier that used to tag along on your mooches but took to bushing like a duck to water!! this bitch was called missy and was the result of a big fat rottie guard dog getting on a bitza lurcher that tbh was shite BUT what a worker she turned out to be she would work cover like a hound and took to lamping so easy infact she taught me and her owner a thing or two id have her again anyday!!! i heard today she is on her last legs now and may have put down and thats what got me thinking about dogs that were never bred for work coming good!!!! so come lets here about your underdogs :toast:

we had a gernmanshepard x mongrel that just turned up at my nannas when i was about 10,anyway this not was a street dog ,it took right shine 2 me it ws froma time dogs use 2 just rome the streets,he knock on for me ,when i was,nt home he used find me and my friends even if were on different estates ,moterbikes he use hate them he chase them for fun he was like x cat x dog i,ve seen a dog jump climb trees ,loved rocks and love going round the local shops on dinner when the school kids ,were on for the scraps .he even made the local paper few times ,were ever dukey is the daft lads are never behind lol ,he was the most loyal dog ever ,if we were in scrap the dog would help the 1 that was getting bashed ,he was mad ,we learned him how 2 lamp ,bush,ferret,he was a 1 of ,he loved cats ,he could never get them but loved the chase ,when i grow up he carried on hanging about the streets with my younger cousins ,it was mad he just went out of our life the same way he come in ,1 day their next gone check all the kennel ,rescues ,no luck ,he was about 15 ,my family think he went 2 way 2 die, this dog was a legend and still gets talk about with locals,RIP DUKEY THE FARRA DOG THE 1 AND ONLY

i had a graet dog that we took off its previous owner [cruel bastarsd]he was called sandy and he was a cross between border terrier and a lab he would follow me to school and sit at the gates till i came out we would fight rival gangs and i was safe as houses cos he wouldnt let no one touch me he got stuck down a badger sett once when me and the lads went to jockland shooting stuff from car windows 4 cars [what a laugh that was]farmers ducks traffic lights a wasps nest each others tail lights lol it was just what we did in the good old days ,any way sandy was a brilliant ratter he killed every ones cat but was a legend to us he lived till the ripe old age of 18 i cried like a baby when he went

ha ha rocky i remember duke he used to just wander about school looking for you up and down the halls and 20 mins later you where escorting him back home lol you had him well trained so you could get an hour off school!!!

i mate he was a clever dog,i could right a book about this dog and a trilogy lol,times when we were young ,when we use get chased of the local bobbys and he use hide with us ,even when use 2 get lock up he would jump into the back of police vans ,when we daft lads a few my mate gots their self a bit a trouble and some older guys came 2 sort them out our duke was their and used 2 get stuck in ,i could go on and on about this dog,cheers gossy for somemore memorys
