what colour is he mate? not white by anychance?

you change his food fed him anything different last night?

i had a white EBT and she had skin allergy which had to be controlled by diet, the skin irritation was then made worse as she became susceptible to mite infestation. she would ge lumps/spots which she chewed or licked and they got scabs on them.

same as what was being said as i was typing just about lol.

mine was also caused by reaction to shampoo`s when i washed her and even the dog bed she had seemed to cause it. only thing i found that was good for her was

fed on chappie

slept on a duvet

and washed with malaceb (spelling?) shampoo.

could be the start of mange, if you can get NOROMECTIN pour on for cattle, its a blue liquid it is great for any mite/flea/mange/tic problem. use a syringe and use 1ml per 15lb dog weight. just squirt it under the hair on the back of its neck. i use it on all my dogs and find it brillient for all the above plus all types of worms, i.e tape worm, ring worm, round worm, lung worm... generally give all the dogs a shot of it every 5 or 6 months and it keeps em shining and thriving.

If it's mange the dog will have a distinctive smell like mice/vermin.

Also it will be very itchy. Try scratching his back and see if he starts riffing himself.

The treatments suggested should cover most problems, if you have recently changed the dogs food it could be an allergy to that.

Best of luck sorting it
