zini 1,939
Hi Chris, I'm glad that you are finding good results with the Falcon Accuracy Plus pellets. I have been told to use them in my .22 r10 by Tench. I tried them in Andy&Archies .22 r10 and it produced easy 1 hole 10 shot groups at 30 yards. I will try them in 2 weeks time when I'm home again. I'll do a full review mate and video it with a worked out BC that will come in handy for chairgun uses. Thanks for the post pal. Si Edited March 6, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post

Ron Weasley 83
I'm going to be trying Falcon Accuracy Plus pellets in my .22 R10 as well. I'm also interested in trying the new Daystate Rangemaster Li pellets. I'll get a tin of each over the coming weeks and let you know how I fare with them! Millsy...I think you'll love the R10 mate. I absolutely adore mine, and as I've said in previous posts, I can't imagine ever selling it (although I'm sure others will come and go alongside it!) I had a Mk1 S10 years ago, and while the R10 is no better for accuracy, it feels much nicer and certainly looks a great deal better than the original S10. That said, your SuperTen is one of the later ones that looks much nicer. Which ever way you go, I'm pretty sure you'll be happy. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool fan of BSA PCPs, so I'm glad to see another loyalist! Quote Link to post
millsy44 72
Hey millsy both bsa rifles are nice, you already have the s10 wich you shoot very well Do you just want a change as you are bored with it? If I were you and I have a rifle that I shoot well with that is reliable and accurate I would hang onto it, people call them "keepers" Make shure you have a good go with an r10 (if you havent already) before chopping in your s10. Just my two pennys mate Good luck with whatever you decide to do, s10 and r10 both lovely in my opinion so you wont go wrong .atb. .ste. Im just wanting a change mate, if i could afford to buy an R10 aswell as keep the S10 i would, but ive just paid a holiday off and all spare cash will be saved for spends while im abroad. I do love my S10 but the recharging system of turning the buddy bottle half a turn then firing 20 shots then turning it abit more and firing another 20 shots just to de pressure the bottle for removal is abit of a chew on, am i right in thinking the R10 although it has a buddy bottle it can be charged like a normal PCP and the bottle stays on?? Or did i dream that........lol Edited March 7, 2011 by millsy44 Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Hi Ron, That was a great post you put up there buddy. Nice to read true facts and good advice. What you said about accuracy was spot in pal. The r10 is no more or no less accurate as any other quality hunting sub 12 rifle. It's quality wood, a nice balance, deadly accurate with FX, Air Arms Fields, RWS Super Fields and now Falcon Accuracy Plus pellets making it not a pellet fussy rifle. It also looks and feels great in the shoulder. Having it tuned doesn't make it more accurate as it's pin accurate out the box, it just makes getting long range accuracy easier in my opinion. I had mine for 2 years before it was tuned so I can speak with a deal of experience on this. A quicker lock time, larger 90 bar air push each shot and shorter barrel just makes shooting it accurately easier that's all plus look really nice, but that's just my taste. One tip I will give to all r10 users though that was passed on to me from Tench, his number is in my signature, is that the r10 reg works more efficiently as a reg if filled to 200 bar and not higher. Now someone is going to come back at me now and say with a reg fitted it won't matter. That's what I first thought but believe me a 200 bar fill works better over a 20 shot string on a F1 chrono than a higher fill. For those who know Tench will know what that bloke doesn't know about BSA rifles, it isn't worth knowing. Hope it helps Si Edited March 7, 2011 by zini Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
si mate i can back up anything i put on here im good for that buddy no a problem. but i am sure that my s400k.177 will easy keep up with your tuned r-10.22. im not the best shooter but ive mastered my s400k buddy over the last few months. so test is on buddy friendly like you said buddy What's tuning got to do with anything Steve? I once shot an un-tuned .22 S400 single-shot rifle and put ten .22 AA Fields through a 5p sized group at 60 metres. It's cracking good rifle. Your .177 should flay the arse off a gnat! It's the man who's shoulder a rifle sits in that's the governing force mate. With no recoil to manage you should be marksman enough to be able to look Si's R10 in the eye and compete fair and square. Now get on your horse and face the challenge! And may the best shot win! Quote Link to post

Just an idea Both good rifles, let us know how you do .atb. .ste. Edited March 7, 2011 by rossi_j Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
No Millsy your right buddy. The r10 does have a quick fill port so you can fill the rifle without removing the bottle. If you phone A and M Custom Gunsmiths when you get the rifle they make plugs that fit into your quick fill port to protect it from dust when you are out shooting. Well worth the few pounds they cost.
