collie/grey 238
Took some of the dogs out for an unordinary walk today. We were out for 5 hours! I thought i was lost at some point, but found my way home in the end. We were just taking a regular trip out over our ordinary grounds and i thught what the hell, we're gonna go on an adventure tour!! We just carried on through the fields that we hadn't crossed before, they were just endless and some i just had to keep going because there wasn't an exit. I can't wait to lamp this ground, didn't see any bunnies......BUT........i saw a hare, the second one i've seen this season, the dogs didn't spot it as they were the other side of the field and the grass was quite long. Off we carried on and suddenly my borzoi shot off throuh the hedge, tried to run as fast as i could to see what she was at, and there she was chasing a muntjak!! Didn't catch it though, but that's the first time shes chased one. I just couldn't beleive the never ending fileds! On the way back, finally i spotted 2 roe in the distance running with their white tails in the air! So my mini adventure has me some new ground to lamp  I will be adventuring some more now. Heres a few pics i took. :thumbs-up: Quote Link to post

collie/grey 238
inan: The borzoi was primarily a show dog, but both me and her found it absolutely boring and pointless. She has only been out lamping twice but she has caught a rabbit, didn't want to give it up but we'll work on that! She has an amazing prey drive and im sure she would've had that munty if she spotted it quicker. She could definately get a hare, the speed and stamina she has is awesome. Only time will tell. I just need to get her out more and get her some experience. Samba: Thankyou. Jody is doing really well. Shes getting really obediant now, getting big, everyone loves her and vice versa and shes learning to retrieve now, of course only when she wants to. Brock: Have a really good look around your area, you'll be surprised what land you find. I have more places to explore yet, now i drive the possibilities are endless, and i don't need permission, if i asked permission for everywhere i'd have SFA................ Thanks W.H's.
