Lurcher pissing on front legs, when cocking leg

Our new dog seems to be very talented at cocking his leg and pissing on one of his front legs. Is this a common lurcher thing, as all my previous dogs have either pee'd like a girl or cocked their leg properly?

 

Is there any way of stopping it? As he lives indoors and OH is getting annoyed with the smell.

my 3 dogs dont,,,,but on odd time they do,,,,( but shit happens ) and mine are all keeped indoor,s ,,,ive learned to live with it

 

but they dont get on sofa ,,,till they clean themselfs
