Water Badger 26 Posted March 6, 2011 Report Share Posted March 6, 2011 you will find its not just nettle stings the pads take time to harden up for the stings alovera cream aintyhistianine cream also is good. just give the pup lots of short walks to harden the pads you will find she digs at bedding and cant get comfortable but mine all do that till the pads are tough, just take it steady. lurchergrrl 1,441 Posted March 6, 2011 Report Share Posted March 6, 2011 Nettles are just starting to poke out now, mine always do the nettle dance this time of year - their pads are hard, but new nettles are a bitch. As advised, you can wash them or put some cream on ... but the pup will just lick that off anyway. It should settle on it's own soon enough. But if the pup has a bad reaction you can always give half a child's dose of Piriton 1 Quote Link to post
