Young pup with nettle stings

Just taken my young pup out for the first time and she has stung her feet on some nettles and is now crying and her feet are driving her mad. Is there anything i can do to soothe her feet? Thanks

you will find its not just nettle stings the pads take time to harden up for the stings alovera cream aintyhistianine cream also is good.

 

just give the pup lots of short walks to harden the pads you will find she digs at bedding and cant get comfortable but mine all do that till the pads are tough, just take it steady.

Nettles are just starting to poke out now, mine always do the nettle dance this time of year - their pads are hard, but new nettles are a bitch.

 

As advised, you can wash them or put some cream on ... but the pup will just lick that off anyway. It should settle on it's own soon enough. But if the pup has a bad reaction you can always give half a child's dose of Piriton

The young nettles coming through are bloody hot as I well know from ferreting a couple of weeks back, my hands where tingling all night.

get the dog a foot spa and make a pot of tea for her if that doesent work get rid of her and get a bull cross that can take a bit of stick or buy a drum of weed killer
