This thread was deteriorating so at several members requests, I have tidied it up and done a bit of editing. Lets stick to discussing dogs.

Thats not very sporting is it? 2 dogs chasing a rabbit in the desert. Where is the rabbit going to go? its got no chance has it. People romanticise these arabian salukis coursing out there but every video i have seen they look shit just like every other pure saluki. Why do people cross the saluki to make a lurcher? Its simple to make a Superior dog.

The "Erneb" or desert hare does go to ground like Blue hares do,and Arab falconers have told me that the "erneb" is more a difficult quarry in the empty quatre than Houbara Bustard,and they run salukis with their falcons.

And could a classic longdog course a gazelle in those conditions?,and the course would often occupy fifteen minutes or so and in that time cover some kilometers.
