artic 595
You cannot put a time on any dog to catch it's hare. There are many possible risk factors in the process of the course, anything can happen. Just accept that there were good dogs out there, and ok there still are, but that's their choice. Just keepin you honest fella. You are some kinda full of shit that's for sure. Got nothing against salukis nor coursing dogs at all. I think they are both amazing animals but just tell it like it is. Dan Edwards 1,134
As a matter of fact rio let's do some math here. If say this saluki could run 40 mph for 3 miles. That means that he would be doing them three mile in say very close to 4 minutes and 30 second averaging like you said 40 mph. That is some feat when we consider that this dog just took approx the same amount of time to catch that hare which was about 4 minutes and 20 seconds and anybody on here with any sense is absolutely amazed at his performance. And.....at the very most throughout the entire run he is probably averaing now say 25 to 30 mph with all the stop, turns, twists, and whatever. Must be some dog though that can hold 40 mph for 4 minutes and 30 secons when most of us all are amazed by a dog that can hold 25 to 30 mph for that same amount of time and I'm probably being more than fair on that average speed thing for that hare course. Somebody oughta put a Garmin on these coursing dogs and average out the speed for this 4 minutes and 20 secons and prove me way wrong. Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
Once again, nothing against these amazing coursing dogs. They are incredible but lets just call a spade a spade and not bullshit and beat around the bush here. 1 Quote Link to post

Dan Edwards 1,134
Dan, What makes you think these saluki hybrids can't do deer ? One more thing though, it's extremely obvious that not all saluki hyrbrids are created equal. Just like in any other breed and or hybrid. 2 Quote Link to post
