028butlerboy 0
As title, my da bought me a .22 BSA superstar secondhand 8 years ago when i was 15 and shot everything from rats to rabbits with it (under his supervision of course )!! But then when i turned 17 i got a motorbike and chased after woman and beer i put the gun to one side for 6 years!! But recently i have started gaining interest in it again now that i have a woman and drank my fair share of beer :alcoholic: so i treated it to a new set of optics in the shape of a sabre airgunner 3-9 X 42 AOIR scope, then decided it could do with a little more take down power so stripped it down and fitted an OX mainspring with new seals etc.. which after fitting took the rifle from 10.8ft/lb to 16+ft/lb with crosman accupells. Pretty impressive i thought Now that i have everthing tickety boo, i want to know a few things!! How old are they? Would it be worth my while refinishing the stock and action? Does anyone else on here own/owned one And what do you think of them? Regards John-boy Edited March 5, 2011 by 028butlerboy Quote Link to post

028butlerboy 0
hi buddy first think do you have a fac? if not and you get caught its classed as a fire arm and you could be in some shit In Northern Ireland every airgun regardless of power output is classed as a firearm so therefore it is on a FAC. I hope you enjoy yours mate..is yours the same as this one if yes then its a mk1 if not yours might have the different muzzle break with internal thread for a silencer that would be mk2 hope this helps... Ron Weasley 83
Always liked the look of these rifles. A friend of mine used to have a the Goldstar some years back - I always fancied one or the other. I'd never put an OX spring in any of my rifles personally though! Quote Link to post

Ron Weasley 83
Yes. V Mach all the way. Steve Pope tuned my HW95 and it has never felt so nice. Quote Link to post
weldersunited 0
Hi Mate, go with the v-mach kit, I've just put one in my HW80 and it's made a world of difference- I had an ox spring in there before- plenty of power but as for accuracy, forget it! ATB Quote Link to post
