a top bloke

Recommended Posts

About a month ago i sent a pm to a lad on this forum i have never met or spoke to before but read some of his posts and thought he seemed to know what he is talking about. So i sent a pm explaining im new to lamping and i have my first lurcher and just started to seriously lamp with my dog about december time and he was struggling with a few things, do you have any advise please. Anyway to cut a long story short after a few phone call conversations he drove for 5 hours round trip to come out and take a look at my dog and show me how to pick the right rabbit and so on. He wouldnt take any petrol money off me and was a pleasure to spend the day with and to top it off we got my dog on a rabbit after watching his excellent dog do the business. Even though the conditions seemed in our favour it was hard going and the terrain was tough to but we had a small bag, but a big bag wasnt the objective but to get my boy going which we did and i was well chuffed. He thinks i have nothing to worry about with my boy and he will make a good lamper. It was a joy to watch his dog work and pick the lurchermans brain and i think i have made a friend for life. So i just wanted to say a really big thanks to BIRD and his dog BRYN it was an honour to meet you mate your a top bloke and your dog is not only a stunner but a great worker and a credit to you mate. thanks again mate :thumbs::toast:
