pianoman 3,587
A .177 Gas Ram in a .22 rifle will take it to around 14 and a bit Ft/lbs. I've done it myself with a Webley Excel years ago. Not worth a slot on an FAC nowadays but, more than enough to land you neck-deep in the shit if you don't have one! Big bald beautiful 1,231
A friends lad had a .177 fitted in a .22 bsa lightning by a well known yorkshire gun shop, after about 6 wks the stock screws broke and the gun was bouncing like a mule on a blow up doll. it was putting out 17 ft lbs but not worth the mess and aggro. I had a standard gasram fitted to a plastic stocked gammo, brilliant and just let down by the shitty trigger. Quote Link to post
