fcs 1
Hi All, Greetings to you - I regularly follow the posts on here and enjoy the banter!! I'm a relatively new member (but getting ancient at 63 Years)..... I’ve hunted mainly Munties and Reds in UK for many years, but also hunt a lot in Ireland on Sika, Red and Fallow using mainly a 6mm Remington or 300 mag. To get to the point (at last you say) - I brought a .204 (Remington 700- for fox and vermin) a year or so ago with a Synthetic stock - Very practicable and accurate and has acquitted itself admirable on Basil but as a piece of furniture - it looks pretty crappie to me. I’d like to replace the stock etc with a decent piece of walnut so any advice on where to purchase a piece of timber (in the UK preferably) to make a stock would be much appreciated. (I have an even more ancient friend who has all the equipment to do all the necessary and inletting etc providing I supply him with coffee and enough sugar to keep him awake). He's so prompt replies would be appreciated, just in case.........!! I await your replies with interest…. Over to you Ladies and Gents Best Wishes Frank (East Anglia)
