In fact I don't use a lead on the street and there have been plenty of times a cat has crossed her path and sharp "Leave it" is all it need's. It's all in the rearing/training I disagree with the its all in the rearing training iv got a big bad dog that will under no circumstances leave a cat alone everything else ok but i have had dogs that will kill feral cats but live in the house with one. After the urge to eat it had passed, he started treating it as one of the family, even going as far as being protective towards it. Still a different story with any other cats though....
