Went back three weeks later after the maggots had been dropping for a while and had a field day. Now that's a good idea

I've fed a rook I shot: no problem.

Mites are largely species (or at least class) specific. I'd reckon freezing would kill the mites anyway. sorry I'm too far away to take them off you.

I've never had a problem feeding corvids to my ferrets, wouldn't want to feed them too regular though..
