my little whippet x dislocated her little toe this morning, it was sticking out to the side , i just popped it back in, she made no fuss about it, and was sound again as soon as it went back. but about a hour latter it popped out again, ive given her some loxicom to help with any inflammation, how long would you lead walk her only ? and any thing else i can do to help. she is 18 mth old.

hi ya mate I rested her for the rest of the season and treated it with bone radial and with a bit of luck and lots of road walking she ran again,she never coursed competitively again but she ran the fens really well,cheers

 

This advice came from a well known working whippet owner.

hi mate my bitch did her toe last week reading in running dog maintenance book by penny taylor she says lead walk them for at least 3 weeks and was talking to my vet about it and she said if it popped back in easy then there is alot ligament damage and if it keeps popping back out then strap it up for a few days to hold it in place good luck with it
