Toni from N.Z. 2
Hello from Downunder, Love the forum and the UK countryside and wildlife. We in N.Z. don't have foxes luckily for the birdlife but we do have Hares which are unregulated and excellent sport with a rimfire.I believe in Aussie they use a new fox call which is also effective on Hares.I would love to give this a go as no one does this in NZ.If anyone can clue me up in this regard as to type of call, learner sound tapes etc. I would be most appreciative. Many Thanks and Best of Luck for Your Sport. Toni. Quote Link to post

TWOTWOTHREE 152
They do mate dont they.i i have had loads do the same! Ive tried a few different calls in the past but i cant fault the u call in anyway for realistic sounding calls value for money the remote option is a great advantage. Yokel Matt 918
Where in NZ are you mate? I spent an amazing 7 months there a few years back. A lot of hares and rabbits about - sadly many areas used poison (10/80?) air drops or something like that which made you think twice before putting a few wires out to bag one for the pot in the camper van! There is one called the foxcall.co.uk which, if blown without biting down on the reed too hard, sounds just like a hare (dying).. but to attract any varmint (distressed rabbit) call could do the trick - some come... others flee. Google 'kenzie the poacher'... I've heard he used to call them using his hand All the best - sorry to hear about the earthquake Quote Link to post
