JPTfellterrier 65
Another tip is to line the bottom of your hutch with lino and put it a couple of inch's up the walls too. Its so much easier to disinfect and wipe down than scrubbing bare wood That is A great idea, Ihave a off cut in the cupboard oh i know, today i was told the smell of ferrets can attract mice, is this true? If you were a mouse would you go sneaking round a ferret hutch ? You will defo need a good scraper makes life easy well thats what i thought, i mean a ferret/wessel etc is one of there natural predators and i would imagine they would be wary off the smell Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
oh i know! What disinfectants are safe for ferrets, got some jays fluid that will be used every other week or so (bit of a clean freak) would that be okay as long as used correctly? Phenol based disinfectants are not good with small animals. There are many brands of kennel cleaner about I get mine from a company nr Bletchley. We supply them bits and bobs so its easy. They blend and manufacture all sorts of cleaners etc Quote Link to post
