Don,t be stuck with the dog just because you feel sorry for it,may turn out a good animal but maybe not, don,t mean to sound negative but do you really want to end up with a dog you could do without :hmm:

i can see where your coming from and thats whats spinning about my head but if try and get the dog a home the way it is now it will be hard to do where as if i take him for a few months get him fit id have a better chance of getting him a home im gonna worm him tomorrow and get him to the vet for a check up weather i take him or not

Hope you give the dog a chance: looks a nice sort. Don't let it run at all for at least a month: with weak muscles, soft tendons and ligaments it will very likely damage itself permanently if you let it run at all before everything has a chance to get stronger. Take the dog out on the lead for 20 minutes at a time, twice a day, just walking it. Gradually build up to an hour's walk at a time, but don't be tempted to let it run until you can see that the muscles have built up a lot more. More damage is done running a very unfit dog than by anything else. Steady walking is the way to over all fitness: and no chasing anything at all: he could tear those muscles very easily at the moment.

He will get less clumsy once his body is fit and he can put one foot in front of the other without falling about: his brain also has to learn how to move his body because being stuck in a kennel all his life, he won't have learned how to run, balance and move properly.

he starting to get sores on his legs from laying in a ply box i took him out for a walk yesterday around the fieds and he is very clumbsy on his feet and was struggeling

to run i took him out again today and think he has the makings of a good dog he walks to heel and if he gets a bit in front of me he stops and waits to i catch up hes very alert and had a go at a bunny today but had not a hope in hell of catching it he is well fed but is just stuck in the kennel 24/7 what do ya reckon i should do take it or try and get sombody else to take him its a waste of the poor things life stuck in the kennel
